Dry Stone Route
One of the highlights of Mallorca is the Ruta de la Pedra en Sec (Dry Stone Wall Route). Located in the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range and included on UNESCO’s World Heritage list, it is famous for the dry stone walls erected over the centuries to mark the boundaries of fields and crops. The route is some 280 km long and affords stunning views of the island.
Formentera on foot
Formentera boasts 32 signposted Green Trails, enabling visitors to discover on foot the island’s most remote landscapes. From trails that twist and turn their way through fields of almond trees to paths that lead down to hidden coves, each route is different and is a perfect opportunity to get in touch with nature.
End of route: the beach
What better reward after a long trek than reaching a paradisiacal beach or tiny cove? One of Formentera’s most recommended routes goes from Ses Illetes beach to Saona cove, whilst on Mallorca, a great option is the route from La Victoria Chapel to Coll Baix, followed by a well-deserved and guaranteed dip in the sea!
